We are David and Brandi Moss, the owners of Massage and Bodywork of Athens. We're experienced massage therapists who've been practicing in Athens for quite a few years! We specialize in therapeutic, deep tissue massage for pain relief and deep relaxation.
Our pricing is up front and highly competitive. We don't believe in luring clients with introductory pricing and there's nothing to upsell. A full body deep tissue/neuromuscular massage is $70/hour, $110/90 minutes. TMJD massage is $85/hour. Prenatal massage is $90/hour
We will listen and assess your needs so you get the perfect massage you'll love, every time!
Deep tissue massage involves applying firm pressure to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia. It is appropriate for neck and upper back pain, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and stiff shoulders.
Neuromuscular therapy is a specialized form of deep tissue massage where the therapist uses pressure and friction to release localized areas of pain known as trigger points. Neuromuscular massage is appropriate for low back pain, upper back and shoulder pain, carpal tunnel-like symptoms, sciatica-like symptoms, chronic headaches, plantar fasciitis, tendonosis, and IT band friction syndrome.
Neuromuscular massage focused on the Temporomandibular Joint and related musculature of the face, neck and shoulders. Symptoms of Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMJD) include pain in the jaw joint and surrounding areas; clicking, popping, or grating of the jaw; headaches; neck, shoulder, and back pain.
MFR of the cervical region is a specialized 60-minute massage focused on the scalenes and SCM muscles in the neck. This treatment is done without lotion, and is quite intense. It is recommended for people who suffer from migraines, chronic headaches, and overall range of motion issues and stiffness in the neck.
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:
24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment.
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
