Hi, we're the Mosses (David and Brandi), the owners of Massage and Bodywork of Athens. We have 18 years of experience between us, and opened our business in October of 2017. Our focus is therapeutic massage for pain relief and deep relaxation... also known as medical massage. We are the parents of four adult children whom we love dearly. Fun facts about us: David grew up on a dairy farm, and is the biggest Dawg fan of all time. I (Brandi) am a UGA grad with a degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. We absolutely love the business we've built, and are completely invested in our clients' wellbeing. We genuinely love what we do, and we look forward to helping you live better! See you soon!
I've been a massage therapist for 19 years. Integrated therapeutic massage is my specialty! I am amazed that every body and everybody is different, no two massage are the same! I'm grateful everyday to have such a fulfilling career. When I'm not working, I love all things outdoors with my husband and my dogs.
I became interested in massage after the birth of my first child. Following a complicated pregnancy and birth, I needed to approach my recovery from a holistic perspective , and massage treatments were so beneficial to me that I knew I wanted to help people heal the way that I hand been helped. I made that dream a reality and enrolled at the Atlanta School of Massage in 2015. I've been practicing professionally since 2017 and I've loved every minute of it. My areas of focus are injury rehabilitation and chronic pain management.
Graduate of Georgia Massage School. I developed an interest in massage therapy after using massage as a pain management technique for my own journey with scoliosis. I specialize in the Vodder method of manual lymphatic drainage. I'm also Mom to the sweetest little boy and a dog mom to 3 cute dogs.
Our pricing is up front and highly competitive. We don't believe in luring clients with introductory pricing or memberships, and there's nothing to upsell. All we do is therapeutic and deep tissue work, so you won't ever be pressured to buy products. We like to think of ourselves as the antithesis of a spa!
Custom treatments tailored to your unique issues at every appointment. We will listen and assess your needs so you get the perfect massage you'll love, every time!

Our Swedish massage is one of two services we offer NOT in the deep tissue category. Swedish massage is designed to promote relaxation and relieve tension in overworked or tight muscles. Swedish techniques improve blood circulation and have been shown to increase serotonin and dopamine, resulting in improved mood and feelings of well-being. We can combine the Swedish massage with our plant-based pain relief lotion for maximum relaxation.

Your lymphatic system is the key to regenerating tissues, healing from surgery, and removing toxins from your body. When the body is working hard to fight off an illness or infection, trying to heal from surgery, or has experienced lots of stress, your body’s lymphatic system tends to slow down. Manual lymphatic drainage can help physically clear blocked lymph nodes and move fluid through the body to help reduce swelling and bruising, improve skin quality, and help the body heal faster. MLD is a light pressure massage that moves lymphatic fluid through the body to the lymph nodes to be cleared and helps to remove bruising, swelling, medication, anesthesia, toxins, and more from our systems.

Very excited to have Kaley with Lashes Lorenn in house!
Book online with Lashes Lorenn here:
We do not do the traditional couples massage in the same room that spas do... we can book two simultaneous appointments, though, with enough notice.
Our "plant-based" lotion is hemp-derived and completely legal in GA with 500mg of See Bee Dee and 100mg of Cee Bee Gee per ounce. (Misspelling intentional) Contains zero chemicals that would be psychoactive. It is a powerful anti-inflammatory and pairs well with deep tissue work. (Google ads prohibit the use of the actual three letter abbreviation in our communications. Insert eye-roll here.)

Cancellation Policy
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:
24 hour advance notice is required when cancelling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment on the credit card we have on file.
No-shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment on the credit card we have on file.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
